Sometimes, it’s not about dinner, lunch, breakfast, or brunch. Sometimes, you just want a sweet and healthy snack, and ice cream just won’t do! When that time comes, think of frozen yogurt, or froyo — a delicious and healthy alternative to ice cream!

Upgradeee! I'll remove the time stamps for future posts.

These two patrons were kinda whack... but that's another story, lol.

Originally, my girlfriend and I had only planned to ‘go in for a look’ based off a recommendation from a friend. Who were we kidding?! Right when we walked in, we were greeted extremely enthusiastically by one of the staff, who cheerfully asked us if we had ever been to Yoyo’s before. We hadn’t, so he explained how the whole thing worked. You paid by weight, and there were six different flavors to choose from, along with two sherbets for people who are lactose intolerant. You could mix them together if you wished, and we could try samples of any of them before buying. We did try all the flavors, and honestly, I can’t tell the difference between their frozen yogurt and ice cream! It’s that tasty.

A couple of the fro-yo spewing engines of awesome.

We decided that we would get a mix of Country Vanilla and Cappuccino.

Only a portion of their many, many toppings.

In addition to what is pictured, there is also fresh fruit, and interesting little balls of fruit juice that explode in your mouth, and mochi! Nice.

Our masterpiece.

Bananas, strawberries, lychee juice balls, mochi, chocolate chips, and nuts are what I remember in this yogurt. I also remember that it was only $5.27, and that it was filled with amazingly rich vanilla and cappuccino flavor without any hint of that sour yogurt taste. So even though this goes down like a delicious and unhealthy sundae, it is in reality a healthy froyo! I don’t mind my tastebuds being tricked in the name of health.

Conclusion: These days, there seem to be a lot of froyo places popping up all over the place. Along Bloor Street alone there are at least three that I can think of off the top of my head, but Yoyo’s is a little special because all of their frozen yogurt is all natural — no powders used at all! Their assortment of toppings is also the largest. A must try for froyo lovers in the area! 9/10 cheers!
